Han and Dan

Han Hogan-Rigg MA, CHW [CELTA-certified, notary public] has worked in public service work for the past 10 years, first as an educator and then as a community health worker. They began their career at al Quds-Bard College, in an environment full of incredible activists and educators but also often marred by political violence and uncertainty. Later, Han taught in Nablus and then New York City, leading classes in both high school and adult education. They decided to apply the skills they learned teaching to a career in community health after seeing how consistently trauma was a complicating factor in their students' lives, no matter where their students were from or how old they were.

As a community health worker, Han has specifically worked with patients in the LGBTQ+ community, patients living with HIV, and patients with a current or past history of substance use or chronic illness. Han brings their experiences as a teacher and community health worker into their work in risk reduction and life coaching. They value everyone's right to make their own choices about their lives, but feels that those choices should be rooted in education and knowledge whenever possible. Han deeply believes that as members of a community, it is our obligation to take care of each other in whatever way we can.

Dan Hogan-Rigg MPH, LICSW has been working in community based behavioral health programming for the past 13 years.  A graduate of Boston University Schools of Social Work and Public Health, his career has focused on working primarily with individuals navigating poverty, homelessness, trauma, and resilience.  Dan has specifically worked with people who use drugs as he is someone with a personal history of homelessness, heroin addiction, and subsequent recovery which lead to a desire to transform those experiences to be of service to others.

I honestly don't care about what choices you are making, I care about why you are making them and how I can earn your trust to support you in making choices that move you closer to your goals, and help you live in line with your values.  I'm not the expert in your life, but I am an expert in other things.  This is the perspective that I come from when providing life coaching, psychotherapy, training, risk reduction work, psychedelic integration, and other forms of service.
