Tutoring Services

We offer tutoring in English, writing, and ESL. Han has experience teaching in a high school, college, and adult education setting. Students can request lessons as an individual or in small groups. Interested students should send us an email with what they are looking for. A quick 15 minute phone call will be requested before setting up tutoring sessions in order to ensure we understand the student's expectations and goals for the lessons.

Writing Tutoring can be designed to hone specific writing skills you want to work on or be more focused around a current class or writing task you have to complete. Lessons are not just for improving how you write, but also focus on on ensuring the content of your writing is strong. How to build an argument or prove a thesis is a key component of writing, and is equally as important--if not more so--than making sure everything is grammatically perfect.

English Tutoring is aimed at those who may want to improve their English skills in either reading or writing, but don't need the skills to be as academically focused as writing tutoring. This might mean a few sessions to make sure your emails make sense, your writing for work is clear, or just to brush up on your skills if you are going back to school or gearing up to help a child with their own English classes--being a good writer and a reader who understands the main points of what they read may be skills we need for school, but they continue to be important even after.

ESL Tutoring is for individuals or small groups interested in improving their English, and can be focused on reading, writing, listening, speaking, formal English or informal English, or a mixture of any or all of these.
